The list below highlights 2019-2020 volunteer opportunities. Please check back for sign-ups.

Fruit Sale 2019

October, November & December 2019

Fruit Sale Co-Chair

  • Works with Krysia Braun & subcommittees 

 

Operations members (Leads: Stacey Bohachek & Nicole Fenske)

  • Update existing documents (both hard copy & online) for selling fruit

  • Organize the creation, assembly, distribution & collection of student sales packets

 

Finance members (Lead: Krysia Braun)

  • Organize & supervise the Tally Night event with parent volunteers

  • In charge of the Delivery Day Check-In Table to collect funds 

 

Marketing & Publicity members (Lead: Paul Braun)

  • Organize the distribution of signs

  • Place ads and marketing materials in a wide variety of venues (e.g. at sports events prior & during the sale, social media, online, local publications & visible areas in Middleton & Cross Plains, etc.) 

 

Delivery Day Event members (Lead: Claudia Lewis)

  • Organize & supervise the Delivery Day proceedings with the help of the directors and students.

Fall Orchestra Concert

Please sign up to set up, clean up, or bring refreshments for musicians and their guests to enjoy after the Fall Orchestra Concert.  

 

A reception for everyone will follow the concert. We ask orchestra parents to assist with these concerts by bringing in 18 – 24 store-bought or homemade cookies, bars, or other easily eaten treats for all performers and their family & friends to enjoy after the concert or by setting up, serving, or cleaning up the treats (4 to 5 people to do this). Treats should be dropped off by about 6:45 pm, and set-up & serving volunteers should arrive around the same time. Please try to have your treats delivered by 7:15 pm so parent volunteers can see the concert.

 

The concert begins at 7:30 pm at the Performing Arts Center. A reception will follow the concert.  This concert is free and open to the public.

Solo & Ensemble Festival at MHS

Saturday, February 22, 2020

Volunteers are needed to monitor performance rooms and bring food for a potluck lunch for Solo & Ensemble judges. 

 

Since this is a collaboration between the Band & Orchestra Department and the Choir Department, volunteer signups will be posted in January 2020. 

 

Please contact Mr. Kurr to assist with Solo & Ensemble!

Orchestra Creation Demonstration

A reception for everyone will follow the concert. Mike Dewey Concerto Showcase

The MHS Cardinal and Symphony Orchestra students will be performing in the Mike Dewey Concerto Showcase concert on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at 7:30 pm.

We ask orchestra parents to assist with these concerts by bringing in 18–24 store-bought or homemade cookies, bars, or other easily eaten treats for all performers and their family & friends to enjoy after the concert or by setting up, serving, or cleaning up the treats (4 to 5 people to do this). Volunteers are needed to ask families and businesses to support the Band & Orchestra Program by purchasing an ad in the Concert Program book.
