Twin Cities - March 13-15

On the morning of Friday, March 13, upon arriving at school, students may store their luggage in the orchestra room.

For many years, our Music Department ensembles have alternated major tour years with cultural weekend trips to either Chicago or Minneapolis. This year we are taking an entertaining and educational trip to the Twin Cities and we hope you can join us!

The following are tentative trip details:

  • Round trip motorcoach transportation. No school buses here!

  • Two nights lodging 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners--all meals included!

  • An evening theater performance of the classic show ​Music Man​ at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater.

  • A visit to the ​Minneapolis Institute of Art​.

  • A performance by an improv comedy troupe.

  • A visit to the famous Sculpture Garden for photo opportunities.

  • A performance by the ​Minnesota Orchestra​ of 2 incredible works:  the Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano Concerto (with Kirill Gerstein) and the Shostakovich Symphony No.7.

  • Some time at the ​Mall of America​... Hey, when you’re in Minneapolis, you’ve got to stop here.

Students joining the trip will miss Blocks 3 & 4 on Friday, March 13, 2020.

How to sign up:

1. Go to the Twin Cities Enrollment Page to enroll before December 20, 2019


2. The trip fees will be available via FeePay in January 2020. Fees will be due before March 1, 2020. 

3. Watch for medical form information in January. 

Several scholarships are available for students who have financial needs. The scholarship application process starts with enrollment.
