Students (and parents) in jazz, please keep reading...

1. Dress Rehearsals (no need to dress up) will take place on Thursday, May 18th.  This is the only chance that students have to work with our guest artists, so attendance is a must.  Tentative schedule (stay tuned for confirmation):

  • 5:30-6:30 -- Five O'Clock Jazz Band

  • 6:30-7:30 -- Six O'Clock 'B' Jazz Band

  • 7:30-8:30 -- Six O'Clock 'A' Jazz Band

  • 8:30-9:30 -- Seven O'Clock Jazz Band

2. Tickets

were distributed to students during class this week.

  • Each jazz student received an envelope with three adult tickets and two student tickets.  No one is required to sell tickets, but all tickets must be either sold or returned.  Students are responsible for lost tickets.

  • Students who need additional tickets to sell should ask Mr. Brown for a second envelope.

  • The  deadline for returning tickets and money is your jazz rehearsal on May 15th or 16th.  Each student must bring their five unsold tickets, $36 in cash or check to BOPA (those tickets' value), or a combination thereof.

3. A Reception will take place in the PAC following the performance, similar to the receptions that follow concert band performances.  If you can help with setup or provide food, please sign up here.

4. Performance Attire for the evening will be all black for all performers.

5. Posters for the event are attached - feel free to print one to hang somewhere in the community.
