Concerto - Aria Auditions

The 20th Annual Concerto-Aria Competition is at 6 pm on January 7, 2020, in the PAC.  

• Students will be vying for the chance to perform a major solo with the Symphony Black Orchestra at the Eine Kleine Kindermusik performance for 900 2nd & 3rd graders on March 11 & the Concerto Showcase Concert on March 12.

• All interested students are invited to audition.

• Students are allowed to participate in a ballet entry: either a choreographed work from an actual ballet or a choreographed section of standard orchestral work. Applications are available after the Thanksgiving break. 

• Honorable Mention musicians are identified and perform during Fine Arts Week. 

• This is a great audition experience, a practice audition for college or another competition, professional judges with free feedback, and the chance to solo! 

• Applications are available from any MHS music teacher and are due before winter break.
